Welcome to Vancouver Community College’s Ethics Line

Introduction

Vancouver Community College has selected ConfidenceLine as its authorized external service provider for the purpose of reporting unethical or improper conduct.

The ConfidenceLine E-Web reporting system offers an anonymous, secure, state of the art, web reporting communications process that allows for direct and confidential communication between you and Vancouver Community College.

If you wish to file a formal complaint of harassment, discrimination, bullying, workplace violence, or conflict of interest this must be done in accordance with VCC’s policies and procedures, which can be found on myVCC.

Instructions

To create a report, simply press the "Continue" button below.

You will be provided with a User Name and asked to create a Password. Remember your User Name and Password to access your report later, for updates or adding information or documents to your report.

As you move through the program, please read the questions carefully, skipping any questions that may not apply to your situation.

For security, there is an inactivity time limit which will cancel your access to the program should there be a period of inactivity for more than sixty minutes. If this occurs, you will need to start the process from the beginning.

The program allows you to upload documentation and/or files that you would like to include in your report. Alternatively, you can forward documentation to ConfidenceLine Administration who will manage the upload for you. See below for instructions if you would like assistance on uploading documentation to your report.

Once you are completely satisfied with your report, pressing "Send Report" will submit your confidential electronic report to approved Designates within VCC’s Human Resources department.

Should any Designate(s) be listed or involved in your issue or concern, please contact ConfidenceLine at 1-800-722-6014 to file your report. ConfidenceLine’s call centre will ensure that your report is not forwarded to any individuals who may be implicated.

If, after submitting your report, you would like to add details, information or photographs, simply log into the Program and enter your details in the Communications Message Field.

If you would like a ConfidenceLine Administrator to manage your report uploads for you (documents, memos, pictures, emails, or any other supporting material) you can do so by:

Please mark your documents "Confidential" and include the User Name provided by the program. ConfidenceLine will be unable to upload your documents unless your User Name is included. ConfidenceLine will remove any identifiers that may jeopardize your anonymity prior to uploading your submitted materials to VCC.
